Mom called on her way back home! Bill took her into town this morning for a follow-up blood test, and it's pretty good news...she does not have to go into the hospital! Apparently her blood test was "relatively the same," but she had lost one pound, which Dr. Kubac counted as one pound of water gone. (Let's see...8.33 pounds per gallon makes one pound about a pint, I think?) He is having her slightly increase her potassium intake and continue with the new diuretic regimen for two more weeks, and then she will come back in for another blood test.
Mom said, "Don't tell ME that prayers don't help!" She said that yesterday she actually thought that she was feeling a bit better, both mentally and physically. And even today, in spite of getting up at 6am and running around in Klamath all day, she feels tired but not completely exhausted. She and Bill were on their way back home to live it up for the rest of the evening!
