Mom had a 7:30am appointment at the Wound Clinic in KF. They had the results of the culture, and it showed no infection. Mom left with some of the "oxygen spray" and instructions to continue applying it and then covering the spot with a 4x4 gauze pad. The doc said that she wants to see mom one more time--next Saturday--just to be absolutely sure that things are still good, although all indications are that it's cured.
Then she had an appointment in Medford for a consultation with a gastroenterologist. This guy is in the same office as the (idiot) that mom has been seeing who pretty much completely leaves her on her own with no follow up. The new guy switched her to a different drug, and he also wants her to have a test for celiac disease.
I figure that she must have driven 80 miles round trip to KF in the morning, then another 100 miles or so round trip to Medford and back in the afternoon. She didn't get home till after 5pm, and she commented that she was "a bit tired."
