Mom drove herself over to Medford today for an appointment with Dr. Kim, and after that she went to do her shopping at Costco. She told me that it was "only" 96 degrees over there! I asked her if anyone had helped her and she said, "No, I didn't ask."
She did her shopping, brought it home, and unloaded it. When I called her she was downstairs putting things in the freezer. She sounded tired, but she said it was just "normal tired."
Mom has been experimenting with her diuretic dosage as Kubac had suggested--trying every third day, and weighing herself every day. She said that her weight was up 4 pounds this morning (which is a a LOT for someone with zero body fat!). She said that her legs are not swollen, but Dr. Kubac's nurse told her that edema can be distributed throughout your body and doesn't necessarily have to be in the legs, so she is going back to every second day for the diuretic. She also told me that her Protime last Monday had been down to 1.8 (supposed to be a minimum of 2.5) so the nurse had her increase the Coumadin dosage.
