Yesterday mom went for her second appointment at the new Wound Clinic. She said that the doc thought that the wound looked better, and not as red. Apparently Kubac's office had been concerned about fluid, so the Wound Clinic doc brought out a portable Doppler machine to check. Mom got to watch, and she reported that she could see the bone and the tissues, but good news...no fluid. The doc cleaned it again and wrapped it, and mom has her next follow-up appt on Saturday at 7:30am.
Saturday is going to be a big day for her, because in addition to starting out the day with a very early trip to the Wound Clinic in KF, she then goes back out to RP for the annual barbeque where she is scheduled to do a shift serving coleslaw (I think?) starting at 10:30am.
She mentioned an odd symptom that she's been having. She said that when she leans over to tie her shoes, she feels like she has a real tight collar under her jaw. She said it feels like all her blood is stuck in her head. She discussed it with Kubac's office and he wants her to have a test known as an "arterial something" according to mom. So she's got an appointment at Kubac's office tomorrow.
