Mom got up this morning and told me that she had a "crazy dream." She started by telling me that the thought of her mom has been popping into her mind a lot recently.
She said that in her dream it was all dark and she couldn't figure out what was going on, but she felt her mom (Grandma Gert) nearby. Mom had an insistent feeling that she needed to do something "to get the world started" but she couldn't figure out what. Somehow she found the right thing, and felt like she had completed the task.
Then she said that she wasn't sure whether she was asleep or had awakened, but she was sitting on the edge of her bed and it was completely dark. Then she saw a little spot of light "across the lake over by the hill," and then she saw another one "down a ways". And then she realized that "...it was the sun! In all the years I have lived here I have never seen that." She described it as "just spectacular." She exclaimed about how amazing and vivid it was, and she has even mentioned it several times in the past two hours.
Now you might think that she was just half asleep and seeing the sunrise, but mom has seen an almost infinite number of spectacular sunrises while sitting in her chair in the sun room, and I have never heard her describe one this way. Make of it what you will.
