About 5pm mom was sitting at her desk talking to us when she had a spell. It was one of the ones where she can talk right through it, but she faltered a bit, and both Bill and I were aware that it was happening. But like all the others, it lasted only about 3 or 4 seconds, and she barely stumbled in what she was saying. When it was over she continued talking just like nothing had happened. Bill asked her if she just had a spell, but she said no, and then went right on. Bill and I wondered if she was just covering up, or if she really wasn't aware that she had one.
That was the only one of the afternoon. She ate dinner, then sat back in her recliner and kept nodding off. She has been extremely sleepy all day and she has slept a lot, but she had very few spells and seemed fairly normal.
And on a different subject, a little while ago Bill yelled at us to look out the window, and there was a bald eagle hovering in midair right above the creek off mom's dock! At first I thought it had something in its claws, but then it looked like it was hovering above a smaller bird that was about to become dinner. The smaller bird got away, and the eagle kept flapping in midair, clearly hunting. It went out over the marsh and I watched with binoculars as it hovered about 10 feet above the marsh for several minutes, flapping its wings to stay aloft but not moving away, then it landed in the marsh and disappeared from sight.
