Happy Saturday with Fava Beans (Sat May 22, afternoon)

This has been a pretty good day (so far). While mom was eating breakfast, I saw two spells, but they were mild ones.

Bill came down last night and surprised us, and we were both overjoyed to see him. This morning he went out to spread some birdseed in the yard. Mom was working on bandaging the sore on her leg, and while she was preoccupied with the skin on her wound, she asked Bill, "Did you spread some skin for the birds?"

Bill and I cracked up, and he replied, "Yes, I did spread some skin, followed by some fava beans and a nice Chianti." I was practically rolling on the floor laughing.

Mom laughed along with us. When she finished fixing her leg, she settled into her recliner with a blanket over her, and proceeded to sleep almost all morning. She ate a small sandwich for lunch, then asked for some of the ice cream that Bill had brought for her...White Chocolate Raspberry Truffle!...and she ate a dish of that. Then she laid down on the couch and slept heavily for about an hour.

No other spells so far today. She's gotten a lot of sleep, so it will be interesting to see if maybe fatigue plays a role in the spells and nausea.

She has an appointment with the wound clinic in KF on Monday for follow-up on her leg, then an appointment with her primary care physician Dr. Kim on Wednesday over in Medford, then an appointment with her wonderful cardiologist Dr. Kubac next Friday.
