Woke up this morning to snow, and it has been snowing off and on all day. The neighbor contractor who was going to try to patch the roof leak stopped by, but the roof was too slippery for him to get up there (snow + metal roof = not a good combination). He said he would be back later in the afternoon if the snow melts, but it is 2pm and it is currently blizzarding.
Mom had another good night on her foam mattress and was in a good mood this morning. She even felt well enough to sit in her chair in the front window for a while drinking her breakfast. Yep, drinking her breakfast. A couple days ago one of her neighbors told her about a high protein nutritional drink called Muscle Milk, so when we went to Sherm's yesterday we picked up a four-pack. It's apparently kind of like chocolate milk, but it has 22 grams of protein and 230 calories. Mom really liked it, and she was happy to have an alternative source of protein.
