Mom still seems tired this morning. She told me that she thinks she just tried to do too much. She said that she feels like she needs some complete down time, so she wants to spend the day doing nothing and sitting around and reading.
Her Protime this morning was 1.6, up a bit from yesterday, but still too low, so she is waiting till 8:30 when the Cardiac Clinic opens to call Glenda. She thinks Glenda will probably increase her Coumadin dosage again.
I inspected the surgery site. Since last night, the bruising seems to be getting better. It's turning that yellowish color that bruises do as they heal, so that's a good sign. But it still seems very protuberant. Mom and I were discussing how to describe it to Glenda, and we decided that it's about the size and shape of a canned peach half. We don't know whether it's just normal swelling a few days after the surgery or whether we should worry about it, so she's going to ask Glenda.
