This morning Mom caught a ride (I think she said with "Dear Margaret" Dearing) to the regular Tuesday morning gathering of the Rocky Point quilters. She loves hanging out with the quilters, and she said she stayed for about an hour.
Then she visited the Daly's, and got the grand tour of their wonderful yard where they are working on creating a self-sufficient garden. She also borrowed a couple books from them, because she is looking ahead to her overnight stay in the hospital, and since she often doesn't sleep well she wants to be fortified with plenty of reading material in case she is up all night! That's mom...very methodically planning things out!
She invited her pal Doris to drop by for a while later this afternoon, and she said that overall she has had a great day.
I asked if she had stopped the Coumadin, and she said that she took her last pill today, and then tomorrow is the day that she doesn't take anything. Then on Thursday she takes her Protime test to check her Coumadin level, and she will call Glenda to report the results and determine the next steps.
She sounded really good. Relaxed and normal!
