Starting Lovenox (Thurs 10 Jun, 11am)
Mom took her follow-up Protime test this morning and her Coumadin level was at 1.6. (It has to be below 2.5 for the surgery, so this is good.) Glenda told mom to start the Lovenox, so she gave herself the first injection this morning. She'll do an injection every 12 hours until Sunday morning, which will be the last dose before her surgery. Sunday night she is to have nothing to eat or drink after midnight, and then she is to show up at the hospital at 6:30am on Monday morning.

I had to do Lovenox shots every day when I was pregnant with the trio - so NOT fun! I really feel for Grandma! Keeping her in my prayers.
