Mom's Protime was 2.6 this morning...in the NORMAL range for the first time in weeks (normal is 2.5 to 3.5)!! She was overjoyed. Glenda is off today, so mom called in her result and talked to Sharon, who is Dr. Kubac's medical assistant.
Mom asked Sharon about the seroma, which does not seem to be going down, and Sharon said that Kubac should probably take a look at it. (Mom is scheduled for her post-op follow-up with Kubac tomorrow at 3pm.) Mom asked whether it is OK to start using her left arm, and Sharon said that normal activity is fine, but no heavy lifting or pulling. Mom was just happy to hear that she can now have an easier time putting on her blouse! Sharon also said that mom can feel free to take a full shower and get the surgical site wet, but not to remove the steri-strips.
Mom also has an appointment tomorrow for a bone-density screening at the hospital. This was originally was scheduled for the same day that she landed in the ER two months ago, so needless to say, she missed that appointment.
Even though we have to go into town tomorrow for two appointments, she wanted to go in today to do some grocery shopping. So we headed into town about 10am, hit two grocery stores and the gas station, then got back out to RP at 1pm. I unloaded the groceries, and we had lunch, and she is now napping.
