Mom called this morning to tell me "something that will make you feel better!"
Yesterday Bill took her into town to pick up a prescription. Of course mom knows practically everybody, and the husband-and-wife pharmacists at Bimart are among her many friends. Mom mentioned that she is about to get a pacemaker, and the pharmacist said that his mother-in-law just got one, so he called his wife over to tell mom about it.
The wife said that her mom got a pacemaker ONE WEEK ago, also done by Dr. Kubac at the same KFalls surgery center. The pharmacist's mom said that she is feeling so much better, and that she hadn't realized how bad she was feeling before the pacemaker. She said the recovery period really was nothing...she just had to avoid stretching the shoulder area. Mom was very encouraged to hear this story, especially since it is pretty much the same thing that "Diamond Lil" told us during the Rocky Point club party last weekend.
So mom is looking forward to getting the pacemaker and getting back to normal. She said she plans to do cartwheels and climb trees and jump off the roof afterward, and it wouldn't surprise me, knowing her.
